Sometimes it is hard to make time for family in the hussle and bussle of our everyday lives so every month I will post some suggestions that may help.
Sock War~ If your home is like mine, there is always a bucket of mis-matched socks. Gather the family and throw all socks in the middle of the floor. Everyone has to match socks and the more you match the more ammo you have for an all out sock war. At the end of the evening you have matched socks and you have spent some quality time laughing with your family! And, it shouldn't cost you a nickel......that's always better.
Cake Bake~ It's cold outside so why not spend a day in the kitchen baking a cake. We are huge fans of the food network and we are also a highly competetive bunch so we have combined both. We divide into two teams and have one hour to bake and decorate a cake. You can make it more interesting by giving the other team a theme and the team that comes closest to the theme wins....maybe the team that doesn't win has to clean the mess!
A few other suggestions are: Make homemade pizza, get out the video camera and make your own music video. Kids love to be silly, especially with their parents so get creative and have fun.
Family Challenge: Do something for someone else as a family. Maybe a senior citizen in your church needs some yard work done or maybe they just need a visit. Help in your local school or nursing home. You will be blessed when you watch your children grow to serve others because they first learned it from you.
Many Blessings,
Tiffany
